FAQ: Answers for Curious Podcasters

Are there a maximum number of ads/sponsors per episode?


Yes – 2. We only ever have 2 sponsors at once to provide maximum exposure plus good results for sponsors.

How long do the ads have to run for on our show?


We offer mid-roll host-read ads to sponsors (played in the middle of an episode). Ads will generally be 30-60 seconds long. Ads will only run during the duration of the sponsorship promotion. if the sponsorship is for 4x episodes, then you will insert a host-read ad in 4x new episodes. (I push for minimum 4x episode sponsorship agreements)

Can I turn a potential sponsorship opportunity down?


Yes. However, if you turn down an opportunity from a valid sponsor, this may result in you not receiving more opportunities in the future. (We mainly provide sponsorship opportunities for mid-large size SaaS brands.)

How are sponsorship deals sourced and how much can I expect to make?


When I receive a sponsorship inquiry, I try and match the best podcasts who have an audience ideal to the sponsor’s target audience. So if a potential sponsor has an audience that is mostly enterprise SaaS customers, I will pitch the podcasts that likely have this type of audience.

The sponsorship rate is mainly dependent on the size of your audience and will be discussed during the welcome call with Eric.

Would I have to sign an exclusive agreement?


No. You are not exclusive to Innovator Can Laugh B2B Podcast Media Network (B2B Pod Pros). So you can still secure sponsorship deals on your own. I just ask that you notify me for periods (dates) you are not able to feature a sponsor.
