How Podcast Host Sarah Block Repurposed Her Podcast Episodes
Sarah's downloads more than doubled compared to the previous summer
yet she spent half the effort

Sarah Blockis a marketing consultant specializing in helping B2Bs with 0-2 person marketing departments with streamlined marketing strategies, customer-centric messaging, and quarterly execution. She is also host of the Tiny Marketing podcast.
Sarah didn't want to work as much in the summer. Her kids were home, she wanted to travel, and she had other things to do.
Sarah's downloads were always lower in the summer anyway
She didn't want to waste net-new interviews on fewer listeners
1. Branding
Sarah branded the episodes as something special - it had a name, new art, and new music.
2. Reviewed analytics
Sarah reviewed her analytics and chose interviews and topics that people loved.
3. Long interviews
Sarah prioritized interviews that were long and needed multi-part episodes.
4. Released uncut episodes
She released uncut episodes with a lot of chit chat and laughter, so people felt like they were there.
5. Workshops
Sarah went through her workshops and released the audio from the most lively ones.
6. New POV
She released interviews she did on other people's shows to give a new POV.
She did this for three months.

Her downloads increased by 109% summer over summer.
By Fall, her downloads increased by 189% September over September and has continued to increase.
The episodes felt more personal. During sales calls, the person almost always referenced the pod telling Sarah they felt like they were already friends.
Not everyone heard the original version of the content, so it was new to them.
It felts special. The music was summery, the cover art emulated playing at a pool and the sound effect was a pool splashing around.
